Today, on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly, King Oyo met with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and engaged on Sustainable Peace and Inclusive Development.
The Monarchs discussed about the unprecedented challenges and threats to global peace, security and development that require a collective and higher level of international cooperation that leaves no once behind especially the kingdoms/monarchs which are important permanent institutions.
King Oyo informed His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco about His Majesty’s initiative to co-host with H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, the first World Monarchs Summit from 7 – 11 September 2020 as part of the 25th Coronation Anniversary Celebrations of the King of Tooro.
King Oyo and His Serene Highness agreed on the pertinent need for Monarchs around the world to get together to build consensus and provide important contributions to complement the ongoing efforts on global peace, security and development.

King Oyo will on a later day personally deliver the World Monarchs Summit 2020 Invitation to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.
About the first World Monarchs Summit 2020
The first World Monarchs Summit 2020 convened under the theme: “Monarchs for Sustainable Peace and Inclusive Development” will be a strategic and unique forum for the Monarchs around the world to discuss and work together on international cooperation, sustainable peace and development and to amplify the role and contributions of Monarchs to global peace, security and development. This International Summit will be attended by the world’s reigning sovereign, constitutional and hereditary Kings, Queens, Emperors, Emirs, Grand Dukes, Princes and Sultans. The Summit’s main goal is to build consensus and a collective response towards the pressing challenges and influence global peace, security and development.
